Preparing a Presentation

Use the SLIDING method when preparing a presentation and create clear, concise, and compelling narratives

Preparing a presentation

In the process of preparing a presentation there are three elements to consider:  content, design and delivery.

Your content is often provided or dictated by circumstances, the graphic design is commonly prepared using slide presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote, and your presentation is delivered by you or your client.

At we believe the key to a memorable presentation depends on the quality of its content, the great mood conveyed by an amazing design, and a masterful delivery.

“I am amazed at what I have learned in such a short period of time attending workshops provided by! I am a better presenter!”

Elton Brown , Toastmasters: District 60 – Division H Governor

If the foundation of your presentation is not strong, your great content, amazing design, and masterful delivery is going to be completely ineffective.  To build a successful presentation you must start with a solid structure. When preparing your presentation this is the first and most important step after defining a clear, concise, and strong message.

Your presentation’s structure will define the order and contrast of the different topics and elements in your presentation.  A solid structure will provide a strong base to make sure your message comes through.

In preparing a presentation and its structure SLIDING is one of the best tools available.  SLIDING is a seven-step process that will help you to connect and work with both sides of your brain. The SLIDING method can also be applied to many other endeavours like speech writing or book design.  The SLIDING method works perfectly in preparing a presentation with or without slides!
